Lydia

My Little Princess Lydia.....

Lydia ready to brave the cold

Lydia in an indoor play park

As you can see, I love taking photos of Lydia - she is so photogenic. She sings all day, and has memorized all the songs Elizabeth has learned...it is so beautiful. She is really enjoying her time in America.

Gorgeous Lydia ready to go out....

More snow photos

A 'snow' scene taken while travelling......

Benji - isnt he cute?

Travelling in the car while its snowing.....the roads are specially treated so even though there's lots of snow, its not on the roads.

Sunrise

I had to show you this first picture as when we first saw this we were flabbergasted - it looked so comical (although now we are used to it). The picture is of street lights hanging by wires across the road. When it is windy they swing up and down.

And the second picture was taken on the back balcony of our house - sunrise at 7.50am in the morning (in Australia I don't view them very often as I am usually asleep).

Pets for the children

One day when the children were feeling a little 'blue' we went to the pet shop and bought two baby rabbits (for Elizabeth & Benjamin) and two baby corn snakes (for Josh & Christian)...they came home feeling very happy. The corn snakes eat frozen baby mice!

A walk outside

These are pictures of the children as we go for a walk up the street - as you can see, the snow has melted 1. Newspaper stands (we see these everywhere) 2. In front of the Cincinnati Airport (we live very close but the planes are not very loud at all) 3. A fire hydrant (these are everywhere too) 4. Our house is the third from the front 5. The mailman (not a posty on a bike over here)

The children and the House

This is our house - it is two storey with four bedrooms and it also has a basement. The picture of all of them is in the dining room. Joseph fell asleep in his highchair - and is all rugged up ready to venture outside (my American sister-in-law gave us that coat).

Elizabeth (which is what Beth wants me to call her now) and Lydia love their pink room. AIG did a great job interior decorating the house - it was such a blessing to walk into a resort style looking house with everything provided (including food). We didn't have to go shopping for anything except a portable stereo and a computer. Thanks AIG!

First Day in the Snow

It was snowing when we arrived, so the first thing the children did was to go out in it and have a snow fight. This is our front yard....the boys must have been in the back yard doing their own snow fights. They were very excited at their first experience of snow.

On the way to Kentucky

Now, as you can see we were pretty exhausted by the time we left Australia. But praise the Lord we did made it to Kentucky!

This is me waiting yet again at an airport - this time for the third flight from Cleveland to Dayton. As you can see, I was fairly tired (understatement) by this point. Just one more hour of flying, and then one & a half hours of driving and we would be 'home'.
Only 31 hours to get over here!! And God was with us - the children were good and even Joseph didn't do a 'Number 2' all that time until he got into the house!
